I’ve been thinking a lot about gratitude lately.
You know, that thing we’re supposed to do daily but gets bogged down by the stress, chaos, and day-to-day demands of life.
It’s so easy to get stuck in the cycle of “Why isn’t that happening for me?” or “I’ll never get out of this.” and I get it! For most of my life I’ve been the exact same way. It is a HARD habit to break.
But you know what I’ve noticed?
I’ve noticed that when I take the time to focus on what I’m grateful for—really focus on it—I seem to be graced by not only a sense of calm and peace, but I actually invite more GOOD things into my life.
I know, it sounds like magic.
So maybe you feel a little goofy doing it the first few times. I know I did.
But you know, when was the last time great change wasn’t accompanied by a little discomfort?
We need that discomfort to grow.
So today I ask you—what are 3 things you’re grateful for? It can be as small as being grateful for the food in your fridge, the trip you’re about to go on, or the great painting you found on sale.
